Tucked Away

Some of you have asked where exactly my mom keeps her sewing machine in the transformed room I've been sharing over the past few weeks.

So...when I saw someone selling this identical sewing table on Craigslist this weekend, I decided to steal borrow the photos so that I could explain the set-up.

My mom had purchased a table just like this one earlier this year to use as a sewing table.  I'm not sure exactly how much it was, but as someone who values money that's already been spent, I didn't want to walk in and give the, "everything must go" command.  In fact, I tried to use as much of the things she had already purchased as I could.

It's a pretty functional sewing table, but the only place it would fit within the room was tucked up under the cutting table.

So, now that you've seen the sewing table/cart thing...picture it tucked up under here...

Since the cart was on wheels I knew that my mom could just roll it out whenever she needed to sew...and honestly, it probably will be the other way around.  My guess is that it will be more functional to leave it out most of the time, then tuck it away if she ever needs to clean up the room.

Major thanks to whoever it was that was selling this twin table on Craigslist.  I failed to take photos of this table when I was at my parents house for the transformation, so I consider it a sign that this post was meant to be!

So what do you think about the sewing table set up?  Honestly, it wasn't my first choice (since I wanted to cut down the tables to a height that she could use for sewing), but I think it will work alright.  We'll see how it works out.
