Love Notes

It's not everyday I steer away from design-related topics, but then again, it's not everyday that I find a little note like this on the door to the garage.

The guilty party?  My husband.

He's not really guilty of anything other than being so incredibly charming sometimes that it's priceless.  Sure, we have our own fair-share of squabbles, but at the end of the day he's still my very best friend, my partner in crime, and the person I am very happy to be married to!

I've actually been holding on to this photo and post idea for quite some time...and somehow, along the way, I even failed to give due justice on the blog to our 6-year wedding anniversary that we celebrated back in December.

I think it happens that way in life.  We get so caught up with everything else that is going on, and sometimes we forget to think about, talk about, and admire the very best things we have in our lives.  I'm just happy to have a place that I can jot all of these wonderful memories down, so that over the years I can look back and remember the little things that make me smile.

I found this note on the door to the garage on January 1st.  It a very cute story, actually.  I had been on a week long staycation from my full-time job, and Mark didn't realize that I had a paid-holiday from work on the 1st.  He had stayed up later on New Year's Eve, and put this little note on the door so I would see it when I went to work the next day.

He's always doing thoughtful things like that.  Even if it's just sending me a text message to wish me a good day, or making dinner for the two of us when I get home from work...or taking care of the cats...even though I was the one who really wanted pets.

So, I hope I always remember the little things he does to make me feel special.  And when I forget, I'm counting on posts like these to remind me.

What are some of the things your loved-ones do to make you feel special?  What are the things you do to make them feel special?  Today, let's all take an oath to leave a little love note for someone special in our lives!  Let me know how it goes.
