Set the Table: Thanksgiving Shopping List From Target

Holy Smokes!  How can it possibly be Thanksgiving already?  It seems like just yesterday that I was putting together my cheery-Thanksgiving table setting.

This year will be pretty low-key around the Uhrich house since I will not be hosting the festivities.  I'll admit, as much as I enjoy the get-togethers that other members of my family host, I really enjoy the entire process of entertaining.  Sometimes I wish I lived closer to the people in my social circles so that I could entertain more often.

But, since I won't be putting together a table setting of my own this year, I thought I could at least brainstorm some ideas for those of you who are.  If your holidays are anything like mine, there's not a lot of time to go around.  Because of that, I'll be rounding up some one-stop-shop table setting ideas from a few of my favorite stores.

SET THE TABLE:  TARGET STYLE

Today's table setting shopping list comes from the one-and-only Target.  For this look, I combined some traditional fall colors with playful prints and patterns.  The look was inspired by the warm, creamy tones of the tablecloth, so everything about this setting should have an earthy vibe.  If you'd like this look for your Thanksgiving table, here's the shopping list:

1--Hudson Tablecloth, $26-$30

2--Zania Table Runner, Red, $20-$26

3--Home Beaded Cream Collection, Dish Set, $14-$20

4--Libbey 12-Piece Stemless Glasses, $29

5--Oneida Bristol 20-Piece Flatware Set, $37

6--Threshold Gold Napkin, $15

7--Napkin Ring With Chalkboard, Set of 4, Gold, $8

8--Assorted Artificial Centerpiece Arrangement, $20

STYLE TIPS:

I like the idea of layering table linens to create a look straight from a magazine.  You can use a large tablecloth as the foundation of your setting, then place a few runners across the width of the table (not length), which allows you to also use the runners as placemats for your place-settings.  Keep it simple with the place-setting itself, using the napkin and napkin ring as the finishing touch.

MORE TO COME:

I'll be back this weekend with a few more place setting ideas for the upcoming holidays, so check back in for more one-stop-shopping lists.  Tomorrow, Jana will be sharing a fall-inspired edition of Five Things Friday -- five things to get you pumped up about everything fall!
