Okay, Proceed with Christmas

It was very kind of you to hold off on holiday festivities until I caught up with the crowd...but, today I'm here to let you know that you can finally proceed with Christmas.

Alright, so maybe you weren't really waiting for me as I played catch-up, but I thought I'd share that I've finally got the Christmas tree up and shining!  I know that there's technically only one week left for me to enjoy it, but with everything else that's going on, for me this is a landmark occasion.  In fact, I'm so proud that I've finally done something to honor the holiday season that I'm staying up past my bedtime to write this post.  (Whether or not that is a good thing, or bad, will be determined by how many typos, run-ons, and ramblings you find throughout the next several paragraphs).

Take a look:

I'll take some more shots tomorrow during daylight hours too, since shooting pics in the dark is such a challenge for me.  I never can seem to capture the light the way the pros do (but I guess that's why I only claim to be an amateur photographer)!

Here are a few more shots:

I even made my own tree-topper by using an accessory item I already had lying around the house. You've seen this accessory make appearances in posts like this one...but I'll tell you more about how I made it sparkle (and attached it to the tree) tomorrow (when I'm not so sleepy).

So go ahead, proceed with Christmas.  I've finally got a Christmas tree!  Woo hoo!!!  Tis the season to be jolly, fa-la-la-la-lah-la-la-la-lah!

Wow! You've got a very beautiful Christmas tree! The angles make the tree look more stunning in these photos.

Thanks Sunnie!

I only wish I would have put it up earlier. I think I'm going to leave it up until June, just so I can enjoy it.

When I first read your comment I thought you wrote "angels" instead of "angles." Ha! I think the angels make the tree look good too!

Thanks for stopping by!

I think it's the way you took the shots that made the Christmas tree a lot more special. Also, adding beauty to it are the lights.

Thanks Sunnie!

I just got home and Mark was taking the tree down. I'm so sad to see it go, but so glad I have the pictures to remember it by!
