Kelli's Top Ten: Let's Get This Started

Happy Friday everyone!  I hope you all are ready to enjoy the weekend.

I think I might have been overthinking this post (just a smidge), but I just spent the last 15 minutes going back-and-forth in my mind about whether to do this post David Letterman-style (as a countdown), or not.  Talk about rediculous!

Ultimately, I decided that these items I'm listing are in no particular order...they're just things that I absolutely love at the moment...and how can one pick a favorite favorite-thing?

1.  Vincent Tufted Chair / Amazon.com

I stumbled upon this chair at Amazon.com.  It's listed at $299.00, but it sure would be a beauty in my family room!  I picture it with a bright patterned pillow to make it pop!

2.  Arizona Weather

This is the time it's wonderful to be an Arizonan!  I've mentioned previously that I've been waiting for it to start feeling like fall.  Well, it finally does!  Those temps might not look like fall-ish weather to some of you, but to me, when the air starts to cool down, and I can walk to my car without breaking a sweat, it's officially fall (very scientific, I know).

3. Dog Peek

Seriously, how cool is this dog peek?  I think it's a dog's best friend.  I don't have a dog, but if I did, I'm pretty sure I'd get one of these!

4.  Chevron Print Curtains

I don't think there's a soul out there that doesn't love chevron right now!  Well, maybe there is, but at least we can all agree that the chevron pattern is a super-hot trend right now.  These chevron print curtains from the Etsy shop of Castle Creek Designs, are listed at $150.00.  Personally, I think that's a bit steep, but I definitely think the curtains are inspiration-worthy!  Perhaps a DIY project?  Just sayin!

5.  I Really Mustache

This print that I found on Pinterest just makes me laugh.  I'm thinking of using some fun sayings like this to redecorate my little cubicle at work.  I definitely could use a good chuckle at the end of a long day at the day job!

6.  Fall Decor

Cooling temps are accompanied by fall decor...and I'm absolutely in love with the natural elements of fall decor!  Who better to show us the ins-and-outs of fall decor than Martha Stewart?  There are tons of ideas at marthastewart.com, for decorating your home for the season.

7.  HGTV.com

I've mentioned before that I have to visit the HGTV website to keep myself from going into addiction withdrawal.  We only have basic cable right now, so I've learned to be resourceful.  Thank goodness HGTV hosts full episodes, their blog, and helpful tutorials on their website, or else I'd be lost.

8. Hulu

Yet another addiction.  I realized the pure joy of Hulu when I worked on the faux capiz strands for my chandelier project.  Through Hulu, I've been introduced to all kinds of interesting shows and video clips, which helps me feel up to speed when it comes to pop culture.  Well, not really, but it does entertain me...plus the basic service is 100% free (and I'm a big fan of free)!

9.  My Blog

I'm not saying this to sound self-centered (because I've really been surprised by this myself), but I truly, honestly, and entirely love my blog!  I'll confess that sometimes when I'm reading back through a post to proof it, I wind up linking back to older posts and reading them through again.

It's so weird!

Eventually, I catch myself, and I think..."You wrote it, silly!  Why are you reading it like it's the very first time?"

There are only two possible reasons for this that I can come up with.  One possibility is that I'm completely self-focused and love to bask in my own words...or the other (and much more likely) is that this blog is my journal, and I love to look back at my experiences, thoughts, and impressions.

Sometimes I look back and think that I was entirely crazy at the time that I wrote something.  Other times I look back and am baffled by how something turned out.  But either way, it makes me happy when I review the journey I've been on over the past few months.

10.  Dinner Time

If I had to pick a favorite from this list, it would most likely be dinner time.  Not because of great food, like this recipe, but more because sometimes dinner time is the only time during the day that Mark and I get to really spend time together.

We each have very busy schedules, so sitting down for a few hours to talk and spend time together is always on the Top Ten list.

He has really been supportive of me with this new adventure, even though my blogging has required a lot of attention, and for that I am truly thankful!  I don't think one can ever express their gratitude in full, but I hope he knows that I could not do this without him!

Well, there's my top ten.  What are some things that made your own personal top ten list?  Share the love!
